ARE PORTAL POWERED BLINDS SAFE?

All our blinds are motorised (low voltage) and have no pull cords making them inherently safe by design.

HOW ARE YOUR BLINDS POWERED?

Our motors have a built in rechargeable L-ion battery that will only require recharging approximately once a year (depending on the number of cycles per day). Battery power means no cutting and making good channels to run cables.

HOW DO I CONTROL THE BLIND?

From a straight forward remote handset, or wall switch, to voice activation via Alexa or Google Home Hub* the choice is yours.

*Alexa and Google Home Hub require Somfy Tahoma or Conexoon.

ARE YOUR BLINDS COMPATIBLE WITH SMART HOME PRODUCTS?

Yes they integrate seamlessly with the Somfy Smart Home hubs and can even open and close automatically* to maintain temperatures in a room.

ARE YOUR BLINDS SUITABLE FOR KITCHENS AND BATHROOMS?

Yes the motors are low voltage with IP20 protection and our Carnival and Carnival Blackout fabric ranges have Ultra-Fresh protection as standard. Ultra-Fresh provides protection against fungi, mildew, moulds and even MRSA.

ARE YOUR BLINDS EASY TO INSTALL?

Installing our powered blinds is no more difficult than installing a manual roller or venetian blind, once the fixing brackets are in place the cassette clips in. The up and down limits are preset so a press of the control button and that’s it.
